Description: If you have hands and a couple free hours on Saturday morning, June 13, we need your help! The Dunning-Read Volunteers and FOTP staff are mounting a special seedling planting day at the Dunning-Read Conservation Area at Irving Park and Oak Park Avenue in Chicago. We will be hand-planting between 500 – 1000 native prairie, savanna and wetland seedlings of a variety of species, including little bluestem, wild bergamot, pale purple coneflower and many more. No experience necessary – just a willingness to get your hands a little dirty. Wear long pants, long sleeves, sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots.
