08/21, Saturday, 9:00am – 11:00am Walking Tour of Historic Washington Park
The walk will feature the historic Frederick Law Olmsted park design and how it has evolved from the 19th century to the 21st century. The walk will be lead by FOTP’s John O’Connell, VP of Adminstration and Development, he will touch on the historic park design, landscape concepts, structures and sculpture. The tour will head east and south around the nature area to the park’s island. Further south the tour will take in the Fountain of Time and head back north to end at the Refectory Building. Meet at the Washington Park Refectory Building, 5531 S. Russell Drive. Free.
