35th Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon
On February 4, 2010 Friends of the Parks will honored the work of individuals and organizations that most significantly contributed to the improvement of Chicago’s parks and forest preserves in 2009.

Matt Haas
Individual Award
For hundreds of hours of work as a site steward to restore Busse Woods Forest Preserve
Greater Englewood Greening Association
Advocacy Award
For a year-long project to develop a Community Greening Plan with a focus to turn an abandoned railroad line itno a park and green corridor in Englewood
Motorola
Corporate Award
For Motorola’s Global Day of Serve, 400 employee volunteers partnered with FOTP to improve Busse Woods
Representative Esther Golar
Legislative Award
For securing $3.45 million for the construction of a new fieldhouse at
Taylor-Lauridsen Park
Alderman Robert Fioretti
Legislative Award
For allocating TIF and aldermanic menu dollars for several new parks
in the 2nd Ward.
Friends of the Eugene Field Park Playlot
and the
Eugene Field Park Advisory Council

For their creative and disciplined approach to fundraising and improving Eugene Field Park
