2012 Park Advocacy Conference
The 3rd annual Park Advocacy Conference was a big success!
On Saturday, February 25, 2012 Friends of the Parks and the Chicago Park District hosted ”Lead and Inspire Your PAC… Tools for Success” at the South Shore Cultural Center. More than 150 participants from parks across Chicago attended the Conference to learn from experts and thier peers on best practices, fundraising, and programming.
A new and exciting feature added to the 2012 Conference was the Poster Session. Participants attended the bonus session after the presentations to learn about the successes and programming of park advisory councils. The networking session gave participants one last opportunity to meet fellow PAC members and talk to the presenters.
The 2012 Conference was sponsored through a Leadership Grant from REI.
